Terms of use

The agreement between you and Ousa when you use the website or the app, including the Parent Connect subscription.

Last updated 2 October 2026

What Ousa is

Ousa lists private tutors in Phnom Penh so that parents and students can find them, and offers tutors an optional plan, Parent Connect, for keeping parents informed. By using the website or the app you agree to these terms.

Ousa is not a party to any tutoring arrangement. Parents and tutors agree lessons, times and fees between themselves, by phone or on Telegram, and Ousa does not employ tutors, book lessons or collect tuition.

When a profile says Ousa checked a credential, it means somebody from Ousa saw the document or confirmed the post with the school. It is not a guarantee of a tutor’s teaching, and you should still use your own judgement.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your phone, or with Apple, Google or Telegram. Keep that phone and those accounts to yourself: whoever can receive the code can use the account.

Give true information. A tutor’s profile, listings and credentials must describe the tutor who owns the account.

Using Ousa fairly

Do not claim credentials you do not hold, pretend to be somebody else, collect tutors’ contact details in bulk, harass anybody you meet through Ousa, or write a review of a tutor you have not dealt with. We may remove content or close an account that does.

What you write stays yours. You let Ousa show it on the website and in the app for as long as it is published, which is what the service needs to work.

Parent Connect

Parent Connect is an optional plan for tutors. With it a tutor keeps a classroom in Ousa — students, lessons, homework, goals and progress reports — and shares it with the parents they confirm. Parents use it free of charge.

A tutor who adds a child is responsible for having the parent’s agreement to record that child’s lessons and progress. A parent can disconnect from a child’s page at any time, and a tutor can remove a student and everything recorded for them.

Finding students, listing, verification and contact are free and stay free. Parent Connect never changes a tutor’s place in search, their credentials, or who can contact them.

Price, renewal and cancellation

Parent Connect costs US$4.99 a month or US$49.99 a year. In the app, the App Store or Google Play shows the price in your own currency before you confirm, and that is the price you pay.

The plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for; nothing is charged after that.

Bought in the app: the App Store or Google Play takes the payment and renews it. Cancel in your Apple account or Google Play subscriptions at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or from the plan screen in the app, which takes you there. Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their own policies.

Bought on the website: Paddle sells the plan as the merchant of record, takes the payment and renews it, under Paddle’s buyer terms. Cancel from your Parent Connect plan on the website. Refund requests for a web purchase are handled by Paddle; write to us from the help page and we will pass yours on.

If the price changes, we will say so before your next renewal, and the store or Paddle will ask for your agreement where the law requires it.

Deleting your account cancels a plan bought on the website at once. A plan bought in the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google, so cancel it there as well — the app reminds you before you delete.

The iPhone app

If you use the Ousa app for iPhone, these terms are between you and Ousa, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to maintain or support it, and is not responsible for any claim about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet a warranty, you may tell Apple, which may refund the app’s purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation.

You may use the app only on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store terms allow. You confirm you are not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of prohibited parties. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.

Our responsibility

We work to keep Ousa available and correct, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Ousa is not responsible for lessons, payments or anything else agreed between a parent and a tutor.

As far as the law allows, Ousa’s responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you paid Ousa for Parent Connect in the twelve months before it. Nothing here removes rights the law gives you that cannot be removed.

Ending, changes and the law

You can stop using Ousa and delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with it; for a change that matters, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

For any question about these terms, write to us from the help page. How we handle your information is in the privacy policy.
